When the examiner throws your child the conversational question, does she have to reply it right away?  Of course not. She can actually take a few moments to think about it.

2.

However, in order not to have an awkward silence in the room, she can use some conversation fillers to stall and to buy some time.

Examples of fillers :

"Yes, I think I can enjoy..."

"Let me think about it. It is such an interesting question.”

"I've never really thought about that."

3.

She can even repeat the question as part of her answer. For example, if the examiner asks "Do you think you will enjoy going for the camping trip?", she can answer "Yes, I think I will enjoy going for the camping trip because ...."
