So what is Synthesis and Transformation?

Simply put, it involves:
– combining two sentences without changing their meaning,
– rearranging some of the words,
– removing unnecessary and repetitive words,
– adding one or more word to the new sentence, and/or
– changing the form of one or more words.

So, when synthesizing and transforming, your child is required to do one or more of the above.

Now that you know what these are, you can tell your child these have nothing to do with plants making food and Autobots.

Also, do you know that there are so many topics to learn for Synthesis and Transformation (S&T) for PSLE?

The below infographic shows that the topics are largely grouped into 12 categories.

For the next two weeks, we will be however focusing on the majority of the S&T for our Lower Primary Students.
