# 8 - Unleash your child’s creativity with digital graphic design using Canva.com

One thing I notice about children is that they love to create art pieces. They love creating posters, logos and even finding images of their favourite cartoon characters and putting it altogether.

Today, I’ll introduce you to Canva.com, a free online tool that allows you to create beautiful posters, invitations, cards, website graphics, or even multiple-page presentations.

There are many free pre-designed templates that you can use and this makes designing beautiful posters a breeze even if you are not graphically inclined.

I had taught my students how to do simple photo editing like cropping and creating poster using a free online tool at Canva.com and many of them simply love it.

Canva is a very user friendly and uses a drag-and-drop interface so it makes it very easy for children to learn how to use it.

The only catch is Canva only works on Google Chrome. So you have to change your browser to Google Chrome in order to use it.

At some point in time, your children would need to know how to create graphics. Maybe it is for his school assignment. Or they want to make a personalized birthday card.

So the next time you need to make a customized invitation card, why not get your child to design it on Canva.com.

Now, here’s the good news.

Mind Sprout Pte Ltd will be conducting a 4-hour website building workshop for children. And parents are encouraged to attend the workshop together with their children. The children will actually be building their own website in the class. By the end of the workshop, they will walk away with their own website that they have built. Plus, they would have acquired the skills of building a website.

If you think this is something that will benefit your child, come and attend this 4-hour workshop.

The details are in the link below...

P.S: This is great for both parents and child to come together and bond while experiencing growth.
