6 Must-Have Gifts for your Child This Season and Beyond

Do you know of any parents who are guilty of this? Sending their children to the grandparents or caregiver for the entire week, “retrieving” the children only during the weekends?

I’m not disapproving of this; sometimes work dictate such arrangements.

But the bond of children to their parents, especially the mother, is exclusive. No one else can replace or substitute the time spent, relationship and love given by their own parents. No world-best grandparents, guardians or caregivers will be able to fulfil a child’s need for exclusive time and attention from his parents.

So Gift #5 is the gift of exclusiveness you must give to your children.

If you really do not have the time, at least do this simple and effective activity as a family during the weekend.

Each member of the family is allocated an exclusive time of 5 minutes to share anything they feel like saying. It can be about anything under the sky, be it a situation in school or a complain. No one is to interrupt or judge when someone else is speaking. After everyone has their turn of 5 minutes, you can have an open conversation as a family.

Tip: The key here is to give your fullest attention to the parent or child speaking at the moment. This simple activity allows each member of the family to be seen and heard in an healthy way!

The reality is that you are not alone; everyone has some issues however big or small in their life. However, in this day and age, many of us have grown accustomed to these issues… so much so that we have become numb to the stress and suffering that we had buried deep down, are currently experiencing, and will be facing.

The truth is, stress and suffering should not be a norm… your norm. There is really a solution!
