Way 4 of 6 – Zentangle

The Zentangle Method is a relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It can get a little intimidating at first, but almost anyone can create intricately-stunning images after a bit of practice.

Zentangle has existed for quite a while. My husband recounts the infinite tunnel he used to create when he was in primary school. I guess it helped him in his focus and creativity.

Another well-regarded benefit of Zentangle is its unexpected outcome. Oftentimes, a totally different but gorgeous art piece emerges after drawing lines after lines.

Academically, Zentangle has been linked to help in Tessellation in Math. There is research that suggests children who create structured Zentangle patterns see the vertices and sides in a Tesselation much easier.
