Despite debates from some parents, I believe past exam papers are useful for your children so that they are at least mentally prepared on how an exam paper is structured. So it comes with no surprise that every Primary school and PSLE parent I know use past exam papers for their children’s revision. Some even “collect” these resources like a hobby!
Many parents prefer to buy hardcopies as they are ready to be used. But these can get expensive. Personally, I think it is a bit unfriendly to the environment.
For those who prefer or can make do with softcopies, you can use the same website that I use – SG Test Paper.
I like them for 3 reasons.
First, they offer, for free, many past test papers for download! Many 2016 English, Maths and Sciences papers are already available for download. Also, they are very fast in updating their list of papers from top schools.
Second, the papers are also logically grouped, so it’s easy and intuitive for parents to know where to get what they want.
Third, they offer free interactive tests from past papers. These helped my child practice online without me having to download or print the papers out.
For the immense value past exam papers offer, they are ranked #14 in our Top 16 Learning Resource of 2016 list.
