Tip 10: Speculate the cause and effect

Another way of elaborating your opinion is to speculate the cause and effect of an action.  

第十天：猜测原因，预测后果

猜测原因，预测后果也是阐述看法的一种方式。

你可以这么开头：

1)原因  Cause

他这么做可能是因为……

2)    后果  Consequences

……可能会导致……

如果有/没有……，意外可能会发生。  

如果不……，很可能危害到他人的安全/健康……

 

Qn: 你赞成和录像短片里的学生一样这么使用手机吗？为什么？

Do you agree with how the boy in the video clip uses his mobile phone? Why?

我不赞成，因为短片里的男同学沉迷于手机，这不但影响他的学习，也造成他忽略与家人的互动和交流。我认为“一心不能二用”，他在课堂上用手机就不能专心听课，这样一来他可能会对课业一知半解，长久下去，他的成绩也可能退步。他上课用手机的行为也很不尊重老师。此外，他和家人吃饭时没参与对话，只顾着玩手机也是很不礼貌的行为。一家人吃饭能促进感情，但他根本没和家人交流。如果不是他的爸爸教训他，久而久之他可能会变得不关心家人的近况，和他们疏远。
