As I have mentioned in my earlier post,  some parents have given feedback that schools like to extract Cloze articles from formal articles such as Strait Times, National Geographic etc.

As such, you might like to use those articles as Cloze passages for your children to practice at home.

It’s easy to convert an article in a Cloze passage. Just print it, blank out 15 words or so based on what we’ve shared in the past few days, and viola!

I stress that you have to ensure that those 15 blanks can be filled in using Structural and Contextual Clues throughout the passage. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose, right ?
