  1. Simile is a figure of speech that compares two things that are alike in some way. It usually starts with “as” or “like”.

E.g.

As busy as a bee

As brave as a lion

2. Check out the common similes for children.

  • As blind as a bat
  • As brave as a lion
  • As busy as a bee
  • As cheap as dirt
  • As cold as ice
  • As cool as a cucumber
  • As cunning as a fox
  • As good as gold
  • As sick as a dog
  • Like two peas in a pod
