Recap.   What is a Compound Subject ?

  •  When a sentence has two or more nouns to form a single, larger noun phrase, that’s called a “compound subject.”

1.    Neither … nor …

  • The verb agrees with the noun or pronoun closest to it.

E.g.

Neither the bus nor the cars are moving.

Neither the cars nor the bus is moving.

Neither Jason nor the twins live in Spain.

Neither the twins nor Jason lives in Spain.
