1.  What are Indefinite Pronouns ?

  • An indefinite pronoun refers to an non-specific pronoun in a sentence.

E.g.  everyone, someone, each, one, nobody, anyone, some, most, all etc.

  • When we say “Anyone can learn to swim”, we are not saying who specifically.

2.  Singular Indefinite Pronouns

  • Another, anyone, each, everyone, everybody, everything, much, nobody, nothing, other, someone, anybody, either, neither, something, little, no one
  • Singular verb must be used for singular indefinite pronouns.

E.g.

No one is lost.

Either of the dresses is nice.

Each of the pies costs two dollars.

Everyone is late for the meeting.

Some sugar is required for the coffee
