But, But, But

This connector is used to show contrast between two ideas. It reminds me every time i asked my son to eat his greens by telling him how healthy it is for him, he will rebutt by saying 'but, but, but, I hate them'. 

Example:

Mary is hungry. Mary does not want to eat her dinner.

-> Mary is hungry but she does not want to eat her dinner.

-> Mary is hungry but Mary does not want to eat her dinner.  X

Always, remind your children to change the noun to a pronoun. This usually will be tested when the student is in P3.
