Since 2015, Picture Discussion and Conversation has been replaced by Stimulus-Based Conversation. It follows the Reading Passage sub-component. Students are required to respond to any graphic from a poster or advertisement to a map and even a milk bottle wrapper. |

There are three main prompts linked to the stimulus graphic and the reading passage. |

2nd prompt - related to conversation topic; indirectly linked to the stimulus graphic. |

3rd prompt - related to conversation topic (more open). |
