Those setting the math exam paper thinks it is clever to specify a unit of measurement in the question, and asks for a converted unit to be written for the answer.
You know what I'm referring to. The distance specified in the question is in 'm', the the answer is required to be written in 'km'. Likewise for 'g' and 'kg', 'ml and 'l', and so on.
If you think about it, that's actually 2 questions in 1.
I teach my son to read the words on the exam paper with the help of his finger. That way, he won't miss what is required in the question.
