Are you feeling all jittery and nervous as the PSLE approaches?
LearnSuperMart helps you raise your awareness of the PSLE papers. Throughout the next few posts, LearnSuperMart will share with you 12 of the rules on arguably one of the most difficult components to score in PSLE English Paper 2 – Synthesis and Transformation.
I mean, already for some adults, the term – Synthesis and Transformation, is beyond comprehension.
So what is Synthesis and Transformation in PSLE?
Simply put, it involves:
– combining two sentences without changing their meaning,
– rearranging some of the words,
– removing unnecessary and repetitive words,
– adding one or more word to the new sentence, and/or
– changing the form of one or more words.
So, when synthesizing and transforming, your child is required to do one or more of the above.
Now that you know what these are, you can tell your child these have nothing to do with plants making food and Autobots.
We will share with you 12 tips for your child to do well in Synthesis & Transformation.
